Zero Sum Game
They don't hate us, we're just in the way
As employees our labor is just another costs to drive to zero in pursuit of maximum profit, as the consumers of entitlements, we're responsible for taxes they'd just as soon not pay, and as avid pursuers of their dreams, for them to win at billionaire scale, a lot of other people have to lose.
example: When Walmart won, We (the People) lost
To keep costs down, Walmart resists unions and their push for fair wages and benefits, making it one of the largest employers in several states where many employees still rely on government assistance due to low pay.
Sam Walton didn’t build the Walmart brand to hurt small business owners & working class people, but in the process of growing his empire he deep-sixed literally thousands of small businesses especially in the rural towns where Walmart thrives and dominates the landscape.
When Walmart management started pushing suppliers to provide inventory at prices lower than what could be produced in American factories, they didn’t then give those suppliers the playbook and contacts to set up shop in China for the purpose of killing American Manufacturing or the ability of American workers to organize. They just wanted to win. So, even though the Waltons may have inadvertently pioneered the outsourcing of American manufacturing to China with their tactics they did so while fulfilling their God-Given, Preamble-sanctioned, unalienable Rights to Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness.
Rich folk just want to win as we all do and if our well being is collateral damage to their success, that is not their problem to solve, it’s ours. THIS is what democracy is for...
